Police seek help identifying thieves targeting NOTL residences

Police are seeking the assistance of the public to identify two suspects who appear to be actively targeting Niagara-on-the-Lake residences in a theft crime spree.

Police say the the suspects will knock on the front door of Niagara-on-the-Lake homes during daytime hours when the homes are vacant.

If somebody is home, the suspects will make up an excuse or ask to use the phone before leaving the property.

If there is no answer at the door, the suspects will enter at the rear entrance and steal property.

Police say the suspects appear to be attending several homes in an area until they are successful.

The suspects appear to prefer stealing small items that can be concealed in bags, such as jewelry and cash.

Police suspect the thieves will be using a vehicle and that it is likely driven by a third party, who will will circle the block and pick them up with the stolen property.

Please see the attached pictures of the suspects.

Detectives are asking anyone who sees suspicious vehicles or individuals to call police immediately.
