While it’s a sign that we’re well and fully into autumn, most Niagarans still get excited this time of year — for the announcement of the Sleep Cheap Charities Reap event.
This year — the event’s 15th — the locals-only discount will take place from Sunday, Nov. 11 to Thursday, Nov. 15. Reservations begin Friday, Oct. 12 at 8 a.m., so get your dialling finger primed and ready.
Rooms range from $35 per night for a standard room to $85 for a room that has access to a waterpark. $45 per night gets you a Fallsview room, and for $65 you can have a whirlpool room.
The list of the 23 participating hotels is on the Sleep Cheap website.
The WonderFalls pass for Niagara residents will also be announced in the coming weeks. This $10 pass allows locals to visit 10 Niagara Falls attractions during the week of Sleep Cheap.
All the monies raised from both of these initiatives go to local charities.
Relatedly, the SCCR Committee is accepting applications from local charities and incorporated not-for-profits serving residents of the City of Niagara Falls that could benefit from donations generated by this initiative. Application forms are available on the Sleep Cheap website. Application deadline is Friday, Nov. 16 at 12 noon.
