Police expect “more charges” in relation to fentanyl trafficking arrest

Niagara Regional Police anticipate “more charges in the near future” as a result of an investigation that led to the arrest of a Pelham man in connection with trafficking fentanyl patches.

On Tuesday, police searched the home and business of 27-year-old Joseph Pawlik and found more than $6,000 worth of cocaine and fentanyl patches.

Police say they’d been investigating Pawlik since August and observed him making “suspected drug transactions” in parking lots and from his business located on Pelham St. in Pelham.

Pawlik will be attending a bail hearing in St. Catharines on Wednesday.
