If you like beer and can’t get enough of the sixties, iron your bell-bottoms, because Niagara College’s annual student-run beer festival Project Brew wants to take you back to the flower power era this April.
Dubbed “Bru-Stock”, the event will “travel back to the era of free love” to showcase the graduation projects of Niagara College’s brewmaster and brewery operations management program.
The night will feature 17 student-crafted brews along with local food vendors and “groovy” games.
Tickets are $20 and include a sample glass and four drink tokens. Additional drink tokens will be available for $2.
All proceeds will be donated to the Matt Soos Memorial Scholarship.
Matt Soos is a former graduate of NC's brewmaster program who died after not long after leaving the college. The scholarship, started by Soos’ former employers Muskoka Brewery and Railway City Brewing, is awarded to the student who brews the best beer in Niagara College’s annual Brewmaster Competition.
Bru-Stock hits Market Square in St. Catharines on Friday, April 20.
