The annual Niagara Food and Wine Expo won’t be happening this year.
The event, which has taken place at the Scotiabank Convention Centre in previous years, was not booked to return this year, said Scotiabank Centre staff.
The festival will still take place in Toronto.
Michael Collini, senior events manager with the Scotiabank Centre said he doesn't know why the sponsor, Sun Media, did not book the show to return in 2018.
“It’s been a good show. Every year is a little bit different with numbers of vendors and such. From our perspective, we don’t always get information as far as ticket sales, but from our indications that we saw it was very positive,” said Collini.
Sun Media has not yet responded to why the expo is cancelled.
The expo attracted around 14,000 people in 2016.
