In the spirit of the holiday season, the Chautauqua Residents Association will once again host an evening of Christmas carol singing around the neighbourhood.
The stroll, a tradition in Chautauqua, sees local residents of NOTL join in to sing songs to people living in the neighbourhood. The walk also acts as a food drive for Newark Neighbours, which provides food and Christmas help to many local families during the holiday season.
John Gleddie, a member of the CRA, said he hopes residents come out and join in the fun, as well as bring a non-perishable food donation for Newark Neighbours.
“We go every year,” said Stephanie Tribe, a local resident who brings her young children.
Anyone wishing to attend can meet at Chautauqua Park Friday at 5:30 p.m. Gleddie reccommends bringing a flash light, wearing reflective clothing, and dressing warm.
