Royal Canadian Legion Branch 124 in Niagara-on-the-Lake returns Sunday with a fundraiser aimed at getting people creative with their hands.
Thirty participants will take part in the craft show. Karen Taylor-Jones of the Legion said the hand-crafted items include Kim McQuhae’s award-winning jams and jellies as well as ornaments, knitted items and “all sorts of stuff.”
The Legion raises money by charging vendors $25 per table and running a penny raffle.
This is Taylor-Jones’ third year helping run the show. When she spoke to The Lake Report, she was decorating the Legion for the event. She also coordinates the volunteers and said she is excited for the show.
She estimated that “250 to 300” people attend each year.
Taylor-Jones said the Legion is planning “major renovations,” and funds raised at the event will help it continue supporting military veterans.
The show runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Nov. 30.
