The Niagara-on-the-Lake Tennis Club is in the midst of another busy end to the summer with the start of its annual tournaments, kicking off with the first and second rounds of the men’s doubles tournament that were held on Monday, Aug. 18.

Six doubles played as part of the A division teams: In box 1, Rob Lipovsky & Brad Butler, Jonathon Dick & Gerry Pepe and Mike Szymanski & John Ramsbottom; in box 2, George Gorski & Ken McGillivray, Don Pozojevic & Manny Umoquit and Michael Logue & Scott Lewis.

The first and second rounds of the ladies doubles tournament were held on Wednesday, Aug. 20.

The semi-finals and finals for the doubles are set for this Saturday, Aug. 23, starting at 10 a.m.

The tennis club’s tournaments continue for the rest of the month until the end of its season with the super seniors tournament on Aug. 29, 20 and 31 and the men’s and ladies singles finals on Sept. 27.
