COVID-19: Fort George hosting online book club

Fort George is inviting community members to share some town history with the Friends of Fort George Book Club.

As a way to keep the residents of NOTL connected, the fort is hosting an online book club that will highlight Niagara’s early history. The book club will be hosted on the Facebook page “Friends of Fort George - Book Club” and through email.

The club will post weekly questions, quotes and pictures to the Facebook page so members can enjoy learning more about Niagara’s history from the comfort of their own home.

Those who are interested in becoming book club members can order copies of the first book "Mrs. Simcoe’s Diary" from the fort directly. NOTL residents can also take advantage of 10 per cent off orders in April and free home delivery.

All Parks Canada sites are due to the COVID-19 pandemic and numerous Fort George events have been postponed, including the Regency Ball and annual general meeting.
