Niagara Regional Police believe there may be additional victims in relation to a series of sexual assaults which allegedly occurred between 1974 and 1976.

Police were contacted about the alleged incidents in late 2017, and on Friday, 62-year-old William Swayze of Welland turned himself in.

Swayze was charged with indecent assault on a female, indecent assault on a male and two counts of gross indecency.

He was remanded into custody following a bail hearing on Saturday at the John Sopinka Courthouse in Hamilton.

NRPS is asking anyone with information to come forward and contact Detective Constable Brandon Southcott at 905-688-4111, ext. 9358.
