A 57-year-old man from New York was arrested Friday on charges of possessing child pornography and importing child pornography into Canada.

A joint investigation by the NRP’s Internet Child Exploitation Unit and the Canadian Border Services Agency (assigned to the Rainbow Bridge in Niagara Falls, Ontario) resulted in Roger Eugene Crawford of Dansville, New York, being arrested.

Crawford has been held in custody pending a bail hearing scheduled at the Robert S. K. Welch Courthouse, 59 Church Street, in St. Catharines.

Members of the public can report suspicious internet activities relating to child exploitation directly to the NRP, or online at www.cybertip.ca.
