POLICE WARNING: high-risk sex offender released, living in Niagara
Trevor Kemp. Police warn Kemp is a high-risk sex offender who is residing in the Niagara region.

Niagara Regional Police are warning Niagara residents that a high-risk sex offender has recently been released and is living in the Niagara region.

Trevor Kemp, 45, was released after serving a 13-month sentence for possession of child pornography and is residing in the area of Lincoln.

Kemp is bound by a three-year probation order and a 10-year criminal code prohibition order, which prohibits him from:

Attending public parks or swimming areas where persons under the age of 16 years are, or can reasonably be expected to be present.

Attending a daycare centre, school ground, playground or community centre, unless in the direct company of an adult who is over 21 years of age.

Being employed or volunteering in any position that involves being in a position of trust or authority towards a person under the age of 16 years in any capacity, whether or not the employment is remunerated.

Having any form of contact with a person under the age of 16 years, except in the company of an adult over the age of 21; or for the purposes of a retail or service transaction at a commercial establishment.

Using the internet or any similar communication service to access any content that violates the Criminal Code of Canada.

Police said chief Bryan MacCulloch made the decision to notify the public after consultation the NRPS Offender Management Unit.

Kemp is a white male, approximately 6'3", 450-pounds, with a short, light-brown brush-cut.
