It’s kind of a big dill; the Pickleball courts opened today at the Centennial Sports Park in Virgil.

The grand opening will be held on Saturday, June 15 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

To commemorate the opening of the newly installed courts, the Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake will host a celebration sponsored by the NOTL Pickleball Club and the ParticipACTION Community Better Challenge.

Residents will be able to learn the rules of the game through drills and scrimmages. Light snacks and refreshments and all equipment will be provided.

Lord Mayor Betty Disero will do a ribbon cutting between 10 and 10:30 a.m.

The NOTL Pickleball Club will continue holding indoor games at the community centre, but will add outdoor play times at the new courts to their roster.

Membership may be required for some sessions. Register at notlpickleball.ca.
