Niagara Falls youth charged with pointing firearm, uttering threats
Two youth from Niagara Falls were arrested for weapons related offences on Jan. 1. Police were called at 1:20 p.m. after a 911 call complaining about a man pointing a firearm and arguing.
 
Police and the K9, police service dog Bronson, found two males at Oldfield Road and Drummond Road. The 13-year-old male was released to parents without a charge, while the 16-year-old male was charged with the alleged offences of pointing a firearm and uttering threats. This was a targetted incident, stated the police report. 
 
The youth charged was held in custody with a pending hearing date on Jan. 2 at the Robert S. K. Welch Courthouse in St. Catharines.
 
The identities of the two youth involved will not be published, as it is prohibited under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
