500 years after his death, Leonardo remains as elusive and as enigmatic as Mona Lisa’s smile. Who was the ‘real’ Leonardo?
Was he a Renaissance man ‘ahead of his time’? Or is he a modern Leonardo as relevant today as he has been to every generation since the 15th century? Famous as an artist, scientist, architect, engineer, designer, musician and impresario, Leonardo’s analytic vision remains legendary. To Leonardo, ‘to see’ meant ‘to look at’ and ‘to understand’.
SEEING LEONARDO DA VINCI with art historian Penny-Lynn Cookson at RiverBrink Art Museum will provide many opportunities to discover the rich diversity of Leonardo’s extraordinary life and works.
Six week series: Wednesdays at 2:00 pm, begins February 6th through March 13, 2019
Cost: $45 RiverBrink members / $50 Non-members
